Fogged Windows

On our 2016 Southwind 34A, the drivers and passenger windows are fogged (the inoperable panes, not the sliding ones).  I'm debating having new ones fabricated vs trying to find replacement panes or (gulp) the whole window units.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on where to start?

Randy,  first where are you located. There is a place in Searcy, AR that repairs fogged windows.  I had mine done on a 2002 Bounder 39Z in 2008 and they look the same now when they were repaired.  They have great facilities and are reasonable on their prices. Give them a call (501)278-3015.

Thanks for the replies.  I've continued my research since my post, including looking back at earlier forum posts (which I should have done first--my bad!).

We are located in North Florida.  I had read good things about Suncoast Designers near Hudson, Fl, which is only about 3 hours from us.  They offer a lifetime warranty on window repairs, and have on-site RV facilities (power, water, dump station).  I contacted them (very pleasant to work with) and have an appointment late this month.

Randy,  Thanks for the update.  Glad you found a place and that you have an appointment to get your windows repaired.  Having fogged windows is no fun and could be dangerous because they are hard to see thru.

Have 2014 Fleetwood Bounder, both passenger and drivers sliding windows fogged.  Fortunately, RV Glass company located in Greensboro, nc, hr and half from us, handles that.  Fabulous job, replaced the stationary windows on sliders.   Perfect! 400 per wondow , all new windows installed.

I have a 2012 Southwind and both Drivers and Passengers windows did this. In Maryland you have to get a vehicle inspection to register and the "delamination" (this is technically what it is) caused me to fail inspection. Price of a replacement window was just shy of $800 and I had to remove and install them myself.

Just a follow-up to my earlier post.  We took our Southwind to Suncoast Designers in Hudson FL as planned.  Could not be happier.  Campsites on the premises, first class operation, and $300 per "frame".  What that means is they repaired the fixed and sliding window panes on the driver's and passengers sides even though only the fixed panes were fogged (standard policy when they remove a framed unit).  Lifetime warranty as long as we own the coach.  It took about a day and a half, and we met some nice folks while there!

Always great to get the end of the story. And we’ll keep the place in Hudson on our list for all our other Florida residents.  Thanks for sharing!
