The steps worked fine one day then the next day the steps wouldl not extend. Electrician pulled power wire, put wire on, started coach released air brake, put coach in gear, back to neutral, re-engaged parking brake, opend door and steps came out.  Next morning the steps would  not extend. Fuses are good, there is power to overirde switch at door, step light does come on. When steps are operating everything sounds normal. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Richard, sounds like to me your battery is getting weak overnight. These steps are very sensitive to low voltage. Try cleaning the battery cable posts. How old are the battery's?

I too had a problem with my Kwikee steps. They would not retract. I had to remove the 3 screws holding the motor to the motor mount and apply 12 volts. This broke the gears loose that had become jammed after sitting for months while using the steps. After reinstalling the motor, I lubed it well with white lithium grease and it worked fine. This may not help in your problem, but if the battery is in good condition it is worth a try.
