We have an 04 Expedition with 3 slides and want to remove the carpet in the front room and bathroom.  We are concerned about the big slide that comes "up and over" scratching the flooring.  Has anyone done this and how do you do it so it doesn't ruin the new flooring?  Thanks.

    Gail,

We removed the carpet in our 38N and replaced it with simulated wood vinyl flooring. We ran the floorig all the way from the front of the coach to the back bedroom. Because of the concern you mentioned about the driver slide, we left the carpeting for that slide. We'd be happy to email PICs and instructions if you'd like. Just let us know.

We have a Discovery 40X and when the large slide comes in it leaves dirty black marks on the carpet at the end of the slide.  I got a piece of the plastic floor covering with the spikes on one side to keep it from walking,  and cut two strips so when the slide starts in I put those down and it protects the carpet from those streaks.  With two dogs the carpet has been a real headache to keep clean.  Every trip requires a carpet cleaning even though we go shoeless and on rainy days we towel dry the dogs feet.   I was considering laminate wood flooring but with the slide leaving marks on the carpet, I'm afraid that the slide may scratch the flooring.    Anyone have any ideas???

I would very much appreciate instructions and photos.  Hubby is afraid the slide will leave marks on the Allure Flooring.  Thanks.  email address is mgalex65@gmail.com.
