Hi... my first trip ever in a motor home this last month, and the drive was stressful, it was difficult to feel in control on the highway and I read this as common... I'm sure the bad roads here in Oklahoma attributed to this, but I saw a a couple videos about how sumo springs can really help with the ride and sway of the unit... also adding an additional sway bar in the rear, a heavier sway bar upfront, a track bar in the back and a steering stabilizer can all have a profound impact on the handling and drive of one of these units on an F53 chassis.

I was ready to have the modifications done... but apparently the aftermarket companies have not seen or developed the products for the latest version of the chassis (my chassis is 2020 the coach is 2021) and no one can tell me if the parts will work... any input is very appreciated. The new chassis spec sheet sent to me after the purchase says there is a factory steering stabilizer as well as a track bar, but I haven't confirmed.

    Robert,

First, what were the conditions you were driving under. High winds, bad weather, towing, etc.

If towing, and the toad is not properly set up it can add significant sway to a unit. There are many posts on the forum when folks tried traveling with winds in excess of 15mph and they had a rough time. I would check with the chassis manufacturer and they should be able to tell you if there is any change from 2019 to a 2021 chassis which would preclude you using the model parts designed for the 2019. The body builder, be it Fleetwood or any other brand is less likely to know any small changes in the chassis that would come into play.

While all the items you listed are often used on older coaches, many are incorporated into the newer coaches, so knowing the totality of what you were facing would help folks to give you a better answer.
