I have Power Gear electronic jacks on my 2007 Fleetwood Fiesta motorhome.
Two years ago I had a broken jack and got it repaired under warranty. Now this year I had another jack failure. Power Gear is a very bad company to deal with. You can not buy parts directly from them and service facilities do not have parts in stock and it takes weeks to order them. I have been on the road for four months this winter and have had a miserible time trying to get my leveling jacks repaired.
I have been to 5 different service facilities over several months. I have spent over 2 thousand dollars and still do not have working jacks. Power Gear is no help. They will not talk to me about technical questions because they claim their service line is for service professionals only. I have repeatedly asked them to recommend service facilities that can work on their equipment and they refuse to do so.

Does anyone have a recommendation on service facilities that have real experience with Power Gear Electronic jacks?

After traveling in rain for a day& a half, then parking the coach for a month, ended up having to replace the brakes in both rear jacks do to rusting.  I did get off cheaper than you.  I also was not happy with Power Jack.  The Fleetwood dealer was able to get the parts quickly.  The jacks where supposed to have the improved covers, but the water still got in.  Quality should be better.  Good Luck

We had Power Gear jacks on our 2008 Bounder.  After fighting with them for three years, constant problems with right rear, we gave up and had HWH remove them and install hydraulic jacks.  Work great!  Cost a lot but you were half way there after you spent $2000.  We could never depend on Power Gear, many times did not use them at all because we were concerned we could not retract them.  In fact at one rally we had to remove the right rear entirely in order to leave.   We definitely did not like the idea that you can not reach Power Gear on the phone.  HWH will take your phone call.  They removed our old jacks and installed the new ones in one day.

We also had a bad experience with Power Gear - one which necessiitated us to leave the 03 Discovery in a repair facility in Phoenix and take our toad to Salt Lake City for our grandson's wedding.  The repair facility said that Power Gear won't ship any order for parts until 5 days after they receive it - even in an emergency.  They said PG is the worst company they have to deal with.  If we ever buy another RV, it won't have PG jacks!!!!

I had two Power Gear jacks rust solid after parking the rig for three months. I had to remove both jacks to move the rig. I just called the Fleetwood tech support line and they were very helpful. Fortunately, the jack repairs were covered by extended warranty, other than for re-installing them :-) The technician said these jacks have a history of locking despite having dust covers. He said the dust covers aren't very good. He recommended running the jacks monthly to keep them free.

I've had all 4 jacks replaced twice - once under warranty and once out of my pocket on my 2008 Fleetwood Providence.  Fleetwood made the decision to go with this setup as a cost cutting measure just before they went bankrupt.  I love my coach and have had very few problems except the jacks.  My local dealer, MOIX RV in Conway, ARK right on I-40 has provided excellent service and has been able to get parts and do the repairs in a timely manner.  They also agree that this is a problem on all 2008 models with Power Gear jacks - some of their customers have had worse problems than I have.

Thank you for all the information on Power Gear problems.  We have had the same trouble as all of the issues listed above on our Providence.  I think we will save up enough money and have HWH installed because we don't like to use our jacks for fear of them not retracting when it is time to move.

I have also had a lot of problems with the Electric Power Gear Leveling Jacks.  I have had one rear jack replaced.  Then they had to put the rebuild kit on all the jacks.  The last problem the two front jacks over retracted and sheared the pins.  I have just fastened them up with straps and am now a pro at looking at the site and blocking the coach to get it level.  Wnen I get them repaired again I will never trust them to work all the time.   I have a 2007 Discovery 40X.

Go to iRV2 forum, tons of info. about power gear  jacks. All manufacturers have their problems.(if it's man made it WILL break! It's the brake on the motor that gets condensation in it.Take those off and clean them up,reinstall .silicone boot. Read,Read,Read, they are not that bad.Had same issue with my 2007 excursion in 2008,since then no problems.

Is your power gear system electronic?  We have had our Providence for 1-1/2 years and we can't get the jacks to work properly.  We have had motors replaced and have had it in to be fixed at least 3 times.  They siad it was fixed but now we have the jacks up but the display boar blinks that they are down and we can't get that to change.  I looked on the other forum but I found only hydraulic problems.
