We have a 2016 Fleetwood Excursion 33D. If you have one, you know that getting to the batteries is a 3-4 hour project, and would involve language your children would not want you grandchildren to hear. In fact it was so tough, I didn't do it since the rig was new. So the batteries went dry. I bought 4 Duracell replacements, and also a remote watering system for them. Check with Flo-rite for options. Removal was a PITA, even though I built a slide 1X4 board for the upper battery deepest in the mount. Replacement of the new ones was slightly less PIta. Then I turned on the inverter, and the battery power switch in the coach. Every time the inverter was on without the shore power, the gage showed a draw of 31 amps---with nothing running. Of course I re-read the manuals, then had a flash of what my youngest daughter told me when my I phone got confused. "just turn it off, wait a while, and it will get smart again." it is called a hard boot. So I turned off the battery power to the coach, and the inverter. I waited 5 minutes, and sure enough everything is working as expected, and with nothing running the amp pull was zero. A simple solution, and like me, you probably like simple solutions best. With the remote watering system, I can check my water levels, in four batteries, in less than 60 seconds. No I am not exaggerating. I would pay many thousands of dollars more for just a few simple owner ready maintenance features like this....bet you would also..
