Tire Pressure

I have heard several different tire pressure scenarios. The information on a sticker on wall next to next to driver's seat of my 2015 Fleetwood Bounder indicates 90 PSI cold for both front and back. On the side wall of the Michelin Truck Tires indicates maximum PSI 110. Good Sam's Technical Assist. indicates cold PSI should be 10 PSI below Max PSI. Michelin CS indicates 5 PSI below max cold PSI. CampWorld's Service Technician indicates 100 PSI depending on load weight. Can someone help me clear this pea soup up? I do have a PSI & Temp Monitor.

    Thank you

This is one of the most confusing issue for many folks. According to Freightliner, the correct pressure for tires is found by having the rig weighed on each corner to determine several things.

1: the load is properly distributed side to side

2: the total weight per axel is not exceeded

3: it allows you to view the tire manufacturers charts to determine the proper inflation rate for your tires.

the heaviest weight per axel is the load weight used to determine what the PSI should be for that axel. All tires on an axel are inflated to the same PSI. As a rule, if the chart says 90PSI I would inflate to 95PSI to allow for changes.

    Hope that helps

    Bill is right.

The simple answer is it has nothing to do with the max pressure on the tire.

If you are running 90 psi cold it may go as high as 110 when hot.

Michelin has a pressure guide on their website, Always check tires cold, a Bounder

will run 85 on the front and 90 on the rear generally.
