Electronics location

I purchased a 2018 Fleetwood Southwind this past winter. The electronics such as DVD, Satellite, etc are all located behind a door in the bedroom. As a result the DVD remote controller will not work from the living room as the remote cannot "see" the dvd player. I ran an additional cable to the tv and moved the player into the living area and it now works fine.

The RV came with two Wally Dish network receivers also in the same location. I have been considering subscribing to the Dish service but do not wish to do so if the remote will not work in the living room. Does anyone know if a dish remote will communicate with the receiver box if they in different rooms ? Most remotes must "see" the box unless the signal from the remote is is RV.

Another perplexing issue is that there are two HDMI cables located in the cabinet above the couch in the living area. I have no idea where they go. I assumed they connected to the two living area TVs but when I attach a DVD player to the cables there is not signal to the TV's. The dealer contacted the factory but nobody seems to know what they are for.

Dish Remotes are RF (radio frequency), not infra-red so they will work from anywhere inside and outside the RV.  Hope you can figure out the remote for the DVD player - perhaps there is a repeater (wired "eye") for this near the TVs or in the living room.

Thanks, Bob. The rf remote is what I hoped was the case.
