I just bought a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 to tow with my 2015 Discovery 40E. I'd like recommendations for the best tow bar and base plate to purchase. I am in the Phoenix area if anyone knows of a quality shop to have do the install.

    Thanks

Looking forward to reading your replies, as I just purchased a 2018 Cherokee Trailhawk, for the same purpose.

FWIW, we have a 2014 Cherokee and have a Road Master direct connect setup installed and a RoadMaster Falcon All Terrain tow bar for the Cherokee and it works great.
Very easy to connect and disconnect.

As for the gentleman with the Trailhawk, the same unit we use will work on yours as well.
The only item that would be replaced is the front tow hooks would be replaced by the tow base.

    Hope this helps out.

Thanks Don. Did you install the system yourself or have someone else do it?

I had the local RV shop install it.

If I remember right, it took one day to install.

After reading and re reading the instructions and decided to have a pro do the install.

Thanks again. After a lot of research I had pretty much come to that conclusion. my local RV guy handles both Roadmaster and Blue Ox. He says they're both good but he favors Blue Ox. Price is about the same.
