2014 Southwind 32VS - Winter travels

We will once again be travelling south from Canada to Florida this January and looking for any advise on travelling during sub zero temps.

We have done this several times before with our previous Class C, as it had a secondary heater running off the engine to keep all tanks from freezing (great system).

This will be our first Winter with the Southwind.

I understand that Fleetwood's tanks (fresh water, black and grey) have a heating duct coming from the propane furnace to prevent them from freezing.

    Is this correct?

This means travelling with the propane furnace running constantly for at least 1-2 days until we are into warmer climates (I'm not concerned about propane consumption).

Has anyone had any experience travelling like this, does it work well, and what is the optimum temperature to set the thermostat at?

Not concerned with keeping the coach warm during travels as the chassis heater will do that, just want to ensure the tanks don't freeze.

I have spoken with people who insist on not using their systems until they are south of the freeze, which just seems over cautious.

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thank you.
