    My wife and I took delivery of our new 2017 Pace Arrow 38L LXE

    In less than 24hrs. the dash board A/C is blowing warm / hot air with the A/C switch in the on position.

    So I called the dealer, and was told... that's a chassis problem!  72 miles later we delivered the 38K to the freightliner shop. The service advisor told us, "it's the heater control valve", they been installed upside down. "second one THIS WEEK"!!!

    So I guess the dealer  / Fleetwood figured...we'll sell them like they are,  and let the end user deal with the warranty repair.

    Thanks Fleetwood / Holiday World Katy Texas!

    Oh, I also received the wrong manual for this unit, thanks again!

    Bought our 2017 Bounder 35K in May, after 3 weeks fixing issues, mostly, known at purchase, now that I have calmed down, mostly satisfied. I got my service manager to talking..., pretty much what you said, after delivery service," is their quality control".

    Signed on this club cause I read here or elsewhere.

     "Enjoy your new coach, be ready to spend money, you should not have to."

    As of today, somehow Fleetwood can't produce the manual,  that I should have received when we purchased this motorhome. Won't even send me one from a 2018 model...I really don't understand that.

    And yes I have downloaded and  printed one out. That's not the point. A person spends close to $200k, I should received all original equipment / paper work. Everything has greater value on resale, when you include the original box it came in.  Again thank you Fleetwood / Holiday World Katy Texas.

    I went through the same issue with quality control for the Pace Arrow 38K.  We have the 2016 model.  They didn't give us all the documentation.  The handbook was a combination of coaches produced by Fleetwood.  Customer service at the dealer smacked!  We had to go above the dealers head.

    Here are some of the issues we had.  1] Indentations on the floor made by the main slide out.  2] Back splashes were loose.  3] Chassis batteries in a location that we cannot access to jump the coach.  You figure they would put a slide tray for the batteries, but they didn't.  4] Look under the carpet under the washer/dryer location when the full slide is open.  You can see the outside.  Look from the outside and you can see the slide roller exposed to the element.  While under the full slide, look at the backing of the slide and you can see that the poor workmanship.  5]  This is important, check the bolts on all slides.  I had two of them that were loose, and several of them without washers.  NO QC.

    We picked up a 2017 Discovery LXE June 2016 and received the manual sometime this past winter. We are still working our way through the issues such as a poorly positioned AC/ Heat sensor 3" from the driver window that basically tells the unit what the outside air temperature is instead of inside. Makes it impossible to adjust inside temperature either hot or cold.

    UPDATE;

    Last weekend my wife and I finally took the 38K on it's maiden voyage. After a summer of graduations, and a trip to Europe that had been on the calendar for over six months, we we're finally rolling in the "BIG WHEEL".

    I want to inform everyone what a flawless trip we had. The 38K preformed without any problems. We made sure to run / test, every appliance, TV, washer, dryer, central vacuum, all toilets, showers, slides. We put this rig through its paces for 5 days. NO PROBLEMS!  We did find a few loose screws, but that's why I bring a tool box. These small items are to be expected. A few items we had forgotten to stock in the rig...Can opener, ant killer, and insect repellant. Quick run to Walmart, and we're good to go!

    We feel we're ready for the open road! One more shake down run next month to the Texas Gulf coast,  then off to Florida.
