Congratulations on your new RV. We have a 2018 Southwind 36P It is our 5th class A and we have made many mistakes over the years, some very costly.

There is good advice given so far, especially the checklist, use it religiously each and every time you pull out. Once we were in a hurry and did not read off the checklist and pulled out of a site with our awing out and hit a tree.

Go slow and take your time, read every component manual from cover to cover and take notes. I keep a note pad next to me when I drive and if something comes to mind to fix or improve the RV I jot it down

Be careful backing and always have a spotter. We use walkie talkies.
