    Hi All,

First time on here and hoping I can get some advice. I bought 2017 Discovery LXE 40G  in October. I love it, however at certain times I can't get the full wall slide to go out. I'm taking it next week to the place where I purchased it and hopefully they can find the problem. Any ideas. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Sometimes it is as simple as a loose connector. Maybe you could unplug the slide controller and plug back in. Being as it sometimes works it may not be to serious. Make sure you are on fast idle when moving slides in and out. This keeps voltage up going to the slide motor. Maybe the dealer can trouble shoot it, but you might think about a trip to the factory for warranty work, especially if you have a number of items to be addressed. Also, are you aware of DOAI, "Discovery Owners Association"? Great group of very knowledgeable Discovery owners. The forum is second to none for troubleshooting issues. If you want to know more about DOAI you can contact me off line or google  Discovery Owners Association"

    Good Luck

Our 2015 Expedition 38K had the same problem when we purchased it new in 2016.  As it turned out, the problem was me.  One of the technicians at the REV Service Center in Decatur explained that you have to let the engine idle for a little bit before the slide motor will activate.  I assume that is to allow the alternator to replenish  the chassis battery bank after the heavy starting drain.  I now wait about 30 seconds after starting the engine before pressing the full wall slide switch.  We've not had a problem with the slide not activating when the switch is pressed since I started doing that.

Thank you all so very much for the suggestions. Hope I can do the same when I get more experience.
