Is anyone having trouble with the tank level gauges reading incorrectly? Grey, black, or fresh water. On factory tour the guide made a big point about the new externally mounted tank gauges and how accurate they were. Our 2016 Excursion 35E doesn't support that claim.
I did a test with a gallon jug and checked the monitor with every gallon. For a reported 60 gallon grey tank I hit 1/3 full at 5 gallons, 2/3 full at 18 gallons, and full at 31 gallons. I was then able to put in another 34 gallons (63 total) before I called it quits but I could have put in more. Admittedly the kitchen drain was getting slow after about 52 but I never had anything come up in the shower which is where I expected to see the back flow. Real disconcerting when trying to guess where you are in that last 34 gallons of capacity on a four day camping trip.
Fresh water tank is rated at 77 but I pulled 90 gallons out before it stopped flowing. Goofy part was it registered full until I pulled 41 gallons (49 gallons remaining), 1/3 full at 75 gallons removed (15 remaining), and only had 2 gallons left when it finally registered empty.
I'm suspicious that the sensor placement isn't what it should be. Anyone ever messed with moving them?
