Warped entry door

I just picked up our 2017 pace arrow 38k from the dealer a couple of weeks ago.  During our maiden voyage, we noticed it was very difficult to lock the entry door dead bolt.  Upon closer inspection, I noticed the door itself was warped in the middle not allowing the dead bolt to line up.  Has anyone experienced this problem and if so, how was it fixed.  I will be taking it back to the dealership for this problem along with a few others.

    Thank you

Yes, I did.  We have a 2016 Pace Arrow 38K and have the same problem.  It is now with the dealership to resolve with a lot of other issues.  I'll let you know what they did to resolve the problem.  Did you also notice the door doesn't lock in place when it is open.  If there is a breeze the door will move a lot.  On other coaches, the door will remain lock so that it does not move.

Thanks for the reply.  My coach has been at the dealer as well.  They too are waiting to see what fleetwood is going to authorize them to do.  So much for the "f21, quality control.  What gets me is stuff like this should have been caught at the factory prior to shipping them out.  Then when the owners wants to have it fixed, fleetwood screws around with the dealer meanwhile I'm without a coach.  I have owned it for a month, it's been at the dealer for half the time.  Thanks fleetwood!

I don't have the same issue but I'd strongly recommend bypassing the dealer and getting it to one of the Fleetwood Service Centers and take your list of other issues as well. They are most accommodating and didn't blink at even the smallest detail I threw at them, resolving some major issues that involved re-fabricating cabinets in less than three days. After my experience with dealers and Fleetwood I won't go to the dealer for anything other than a part swap out type of repair. Anything that involves the construction or would require the dealer to take the coach apart to diagnose I'll take direct to Fleetwood. Its worth the trip but make an appointment first.

Hugh thanks for the advice but that easier said than done when a person lives on the west coast.

Yes, yet again this problem demonstrates a lack of quality control at factory.  We have 2015 expedition.  First step would not always go in because door is off.  So they adjusted sensor at dealer.  Then screen would not style shut when using separately.  So they supposedly adjusted, but that worked for abiuut a day.  Door bolt latches but it shuts hard and I noticed excess air noise.   While trying to see why these things were happening I stood back atolley@gotapco.com look at alignment of door to see if I could adjust, and what I saw was that the entire door frame was flawed.  Instead of being straight all the way down the latch side, it is curved slightly, resulting in over a half inch difference in the width of the frame from the center as compared with the width  of the top and bottom.  There is no way to adjust for this.  It is the doorwy cutout and frame that is wrong. Just sad they have such good service department and crappie work from the factory pouring out the doors.D64XxU

Well after three weeks at the dealer, the door appeared fixed.  It was straight and the dead bolt closed.  After driving home, the door was back as it was.  I have to slam it and push on the handle to lock the dead bolt.  I am also experiencing excess wind noise.  I just found out and very happy about hearing fleetwood has opened a small repair center in so. Ca.  I will be making an appointment to take it there and see what they can do.  I'm also experiencing extremely slow drainage in the shower and kitchen sink and a "gurgling" sound behind the washer and dryer when the shower is in use.  Hopefully the service center can fix it.  I'm done with the dealer after one visit.  All they do is blame fleetwood for the delays.

I have a 2015 Jamboree still under warranty, the door is also warped. when your driving it has terrible wind noise come thru the door i have it in the shop now and the shop says that the frame is higher on one end. They sent pictures to fleetwood but fleetwood wants to see more. The door rattles and lets air in it is very annoying.
