Step magnetic reed switch on screen door

    Our steps sometimes would not go out when door opened.  Lubed all, checked fuses, aND didn't solve.  Happened to bump reed switch on screen door jamb and steps operated.  Have had to tap switch more and more often, so wish to replace. Switch is black with 3 wires and most are two wire ( normally closed or normally open.) Can someone direct me to the right replacement part?

    Have you tried going to the Fleetwood RV Parts and Service web site?

    I have a similar problem with the same switch. It broke and now I have it held in place with some duct tape until I can replace it. Please let us know if you find a replacement. Thanks.

    You can also call the Parts Department (800-322-8216) and explain what you need. I am working with them right now to get parts for my screen door handle that fell apart and they are very helpful.

    We are all set. The email to retail@argrv.com put me in contact with Sindi.  After providing VIN and detailed specifics, they gave me the info on just the right part number and I ordered it off their web site:  rvparts.argrv.com  They were great to work with.  Thanks to all. 

    PS  My part # was 248283 and they included a PDF of the web site page so I could be sure.  However, you should confirm that your part isn't different, depending on your specific coach.
