What a joy to find this forum.  We bought a 2016 Excursion 33D for the floor plan and length (at 33' it is 3' shorter than our Seneca).  We are retired and plan to live in it 6 or more months a year.  While I love the rig for fitting our life style so well, one problem is a nagging one.  The kitchen sink is in a slide so has a flexible hose to drain the sink.  When the slide goes out, the stretch and friction of the movement, creates a kink in the hose--resulting in slow drainage.  The dealer says Corp has to develop the solution, and Corp says the dealer should do it.  I am encouraged by other threads in this forum, to go direct to the corp service centers.   My questions are whether others have had this problem and what solutions are the best fix?  The kink is not a problem now, but when we are somewhere in freezing temps and move the slide it will fail (note: IMHO, one should never own an RV unless they can trouble shoot and anticipate problems)

We have the same problem in our 2015 Excursion 33D.  We thought It was repaired, but it was not.  I'll be watching your post to see if someone has a solution.

Hal and Sandy....I have emailed the Oregon National Svc Center....for a solution and to see whether they will repair it....dealer service dumps the problem on corporate, and corporate dumps it off on dealers (as per my experience with internet and phone contact)...I am encouraged by this forum that national service centers are the way to go...and I will keep you updated....thanks for your story...

I have a 35E which has a similar kitchen sink/slide layout and has a similar issue. I haven't found a kink but the sink is a slow drainer and its high on my list for warranty repairs. We're taking the unit to Decatur later this month for a Service Center visit and will let you know what this one decides.

We have a 2012 Expedition 38S with a similar problem. On ours, the hose kinks when the slide retracts and causes a flat area in the hose when the slide is out. We had the dealer replace the hose once but it made no difference. I expect that at some point the hose will break completely. Our rig is no longer warranty and I was quoted $800 to fix it by one of the ARG service centers.

Just in from Decatur and what a joy. Regardless of the issue nobody looked at you like you were from Mars.  I strongly encourage you to schedule a trip for warranty work and don;t spare teh list. Doesn;t bother them at all. Just be sure to have an appointment.

We had the same problem with a slow sink on our 35E. The tech quickly diagnosed the sink drainage issue as too long a drain hose installed which was causing a kink to form. He shortened the hose and its working fine based on a quick shop test. Final test will be during the first post-service center camping excursion.

We picked up our 2017 33D two weeks ago. Returned the next day to the dealer to fix the stopped up kitchen sink. They were very aware of the issue and made an adjustment. It now drains, but slowly.

There was another customer in the same unit that day with the same repair.

We just finished two days of warranty work in Decatur In.  As noted above, they treated us well, and fixed all our issues perfectly.  The kitchen sink issue fix was as noted above---shorter drain hose, with some carving of the edges of the walls where the hose goes thru the wall.  It was obvious from our experience, that they are both talented in RV repair, and caring about us as customers.  We also did the tour of the factory that builds motorhomes and that was also a treat.  I learned that they market their products through independent dealers, not franchise dealers, which explains why they have no control over the way those dealers work with warranty items.  There are only three factory service centers in the country---Oregon, Texas and Indiana. They will open a new one in Las Vegas next spring.  I really can't say enough positive things about how well we were treated.  Going forward, even after warranty, I will use their service.

We had the same drain issue with our 2015 33D. Complained to the dealer and they said plumbing was hooked up wrong. They made a fix and then it still would hang up when slide went out. I would have to reach under sink and pull hose back in place for it to work. The dealer fixed the problem by attaching a bungee cord to the drain hose and to the cabinet wall. Not the type of technical fix you would expect, but based on all our other problems it made this one go away.
