Kevin.  That was one solution I thought of but a bungee cord will stretch with use.  National service shortened the hose but also trimmed the edges of the corners the hose drags on.  Now it does not rub going in or out (the slide that is). 4 uses and perfect solution so far.  Go to Decatur In and ask for Curtis.

    Mel,

Thanks but I think we are way past that stage. Our RV has been in the legal process now for the last 10 months. We want our money back under the Ohio lemon law but Fleetwood has decided to fight this all the way. They were supposed to pick it up and fix a multitude of repairs but they have not. We will not drive it since among other things we have at least 5 broken frame welds and have been advised it is unsafe to drive. It has not moved more than 30 feet since the end of May.

Update of the warranty fix for our kinked kitchen sink drain hose:  we have lived in the RV since the fix noted above....kink only happens when the slide goes out, and after the warranty fix, it moves trouble free about half the time....the other half it still kinks...knowing that, I just watch it and pull the hose when the slide goes out....going forward, I will trim more wood from the side and bottom rails where the hose catches in order to completely fix the problem....but we are having so much fun that I have not worked on the problem for a couple of weeks.....I guess at this point it is only a minor irritant and we don't move that often....it is still an indication of poor engineering for a rig that costs well into six figure....of course that is a humble opinion....lol

Not long ago we returned from a long trip to the Midwest.  The sink drained very slowly, but toward the end of the trip it would not drain at all.  I phoned Fleetwood customer service who said there was a fix and to have my repairing dealer call and they would give them the info.  When we picked up the coach I was told that the sink drained properly without any fix.  This was even though I had thoroughly described the problem and asked them to call Fleetwood.  We haven't been able to get out to try it.  But I bet it still doesn't drain properly.

Hal. If they didn't do anything it is not fixed.  If they did something it is only fixed part of the time.  This is an engineering issue that will always require owner monitoring for appropriate function.
