    Greetings from a new member;

    Recently purchased a Pace Arrow. This is my first experience with a large motor home. The problem I am having is that the two Coleman AC units are not receiving any power. All other circuits are operating properly. The breaker panel (the only one I have found) located below the refrigerator is live and all breakers appear to be operating properly as is the converter.

    Tracing the Romex from the mains input shows it going to the breaker panel. A line returning goes to the two outlets,one on each side of the bed.

    I have been unable, using a toner, to trace the AC unit wiring beyond the passenger side wall.

    There is a considerable amount of work that is needed before the motor home can go on the road. With the Texas summer upon us having the AC operation would be a big help!.

    I do have and electrical engineering background but that is of no help if I can't find where the wiring goes!

    Thanks.

    Hi Dave.

    We have a '99 Bounder, and I'm not familiar with your unit, but I'll throw a dart...

    We have two roof A/C units that are controlled by a wall mounted "climate control" (CC) unit. This CC unit also controls the space heaters, sets temperatures and serves as a "load controller" so that we don't exceed our 30 amp service when e.g. one of the A/C compressors is starting or when we use the microwave or a hair dryer at the same time as both A/C units - it will load-shed one (or both) A/C units to keep the total under 30 amps. This CC unit requires 12 VDC to operate.

    Point being, do you have something similar? If so, maybe you should also check the DC circuits.

    What sort of control(s) do you have for the the A/C unit(s)? Part of the unit(s), or separate? If separate, maybe look into that.

    How is AC load management handled in your unit? Master circuit breaker? Load controller?

    Regards, Ed AF7BC
