    1. Should the Whirlpool refrig work on the inverter. If so where is switch that allows the refrig to work on inverter?

it does on mine but it may depend on coach model. I'm assuming you have some outlets active when not connected to shore power or running the generator and that your inverter/batteries are "on."

On our 14 Rev, there is only 1 inverter and it is on all the time which powers the refer when not on shore power.  No independent switch that I know of.

I found the "LED" for inverter in panel above entry stairs. It is not lite. So the inverter must not be on. Can anyone tell me where the inverter switch is located? There in a note in the control panel that said there is a switch in one of the  basement compartments to keep the inverter from running down the battery while in storage. Where is inverter switch located exactly? Thanks for your help!!!

First - What year and model are you working on?

On the Excursion 35E there is a rotary switch in the basement compartment where the inverter is mounted that can be turned off - more like a disconnect - when the vehicle is in storage. This would normally be on.

Next question is does anything work when not plugged into shore power or on generator? Try an outlet near the dash passenger side or one over the kitchen counter. Not sure exactly which outlets are also wired through the inverter but some should be. Checking to see if any outlet has inverter power will tell you if its a fridge circuit problem or inverter problem.

Last - send a tech question to Fleetwood through the website. Its under Parts & Service, Ordering Parts, Contact us. They are responsive to general questions and might also be able to send you the manual for the controller you mentioned. My coach has the magnum inverter and I was able to download the manual from the magnum website. You should be able top pull the model number off the inverter itself in the basement compartment. The controller you see on the panel over the door is likely the remote control for the inverter and there should be a manual for that on the inverter site too. .

our 2016 Excursion has an invertor on or off switch on the control panel....when it is on, we can hear the motor running on the fridge...note, it does not run all the time, so to test, open the door of the fridge for a few minutes---that will make the motor run....in my experience, when the inverter is on---the fridge will run off battery power
