I have 2006 Discovery 39J. A previous owner removed the 4-6v deep cycle batteries and replaced with two 12 volt.  They are not holding up well. I want to convert back to the 4-6v but can not find any mounting brackets to hold them in place.  Has anyone else experienced this?

    Rick,

I have a 2007 Providence wit 4 6 volt batteries.  There are no straps that hold them down.  From what I can see and have experienced, they do not need to be tied down but sit in the shelves.  I have driven this MH for more than 15,000 miles and they have not moved.  Hope this helps.

Since you mentioned the 12 v batteries weren't holding up well, are they deep cycle batteries?

I'm new to a Class A motorhome, but read that the batteries need to be deep cycle type.

    Hope this helps.
