Awning window leaks Excursion 35E

Just purchased a 2016 Excursion 35E and after driving it home (12 hrs from dealer) through some rather heavy rain we found the upper bunk mattress soaked. Because there's no indication of a roof leak and the window valence is still dry I can only surmise that its a leak through the window itself. The plywood bed base wasn't wet but the mattress doubled as a sponge rather nicely. Maybe wind driven rain through the glass gasket or frame gasket?  Has anyone else had this issue and if so what is the remedy. Its under warranty but there's no servicing dealer to us within an hour's drive. If its a matter of applying sealant I can do that and save the fuel.

We also found that whoever installed the basement compartments was having a bad day and six of them were taking on water. I believe its from wheel spray from the wheel wells. I'll tackle that with flo seal once the weather dries a bit unless someone else has a better idea.

And I thought I had it bad having to drive about 4 hours one way to get good warranty work done on my 2015 Excursion.  Water leaks are serious business.  Take your coach to an authorized dealer and get it repaired under warranty. If you try to do the repairs yourself and it doesn't come out so good, I can just see the manufacturer denying responsibility because you voided the warranty by doing a job that should have been done by a professional.
