I have a 2015 Fleetwood Southwinds 34A with a F-53 chassis. The 6 speed transmission would be nice to have as my RV is under powered in an uphill passing situation. If the A/C is off that helps but I think it is under powered and the 6 gear range would help.
This is my second RV and I think the RV experience all comes down to the dealer service you either purchased or take your RV to be services. I have not had good luck on that point.
The first build quality of the 34a is much better than my 2014 Thor but it has its problems. During the walk thru the slide would not close and when it did it stuck and when it closed it sounded like the the end of the world. My dealer is still trying to get it to close flush and not make indents on the tile. Big issues.
I did put a Blue Oc TruCenter on it to help steer and in case of a blow out. I think it helps although the chassis service tech say in his option if it does not come with the RV you do not need it. I live in Charlotte and part of the dealer is the NASCAR division and this tech services their RV. I believe him. But I spent the money.
Their are quit a few warranty items. From not having an HDMI spliter in the bedroom (to adjoin into the Directv box) to the front visor not going all the way down and not in the tracks. Lots of first build issues.
Fleetwood customer service is not well informed. They really do not know the RV to help solve any issues in my opinion. I have called and gotten information as in drawing and prints but no real help in solving issues. They say take it to the dealer. Well that is not working well for me.
It all comes down to the dealer servicing the RV if your experience is happy or very frustrating.
Good luck
