We have a 2016 Bounder 33C.  The interior engine cover tends to get very hot, it has cup holders and whatever is placed there becomes warm to actually hot - so it's useless.  Complained to REV service center but they said the cover was insulated and they haven't had other complaints.

Does anyone else have a problem with the interior engine cover becoming very hot.?

Ours gets warm, but not hot. Have you raised your cover to verify the insulation is in fact there?

We have a 2021 fleetwood fortis and the doghouse gets very hot and it’s noisy. It smells hot also.

Some of them can get hot. My gasser did also. I bought some heat insulation. It's silver on one side about a 1/2 inch thick and real sticky on the other side. I covered the entire underside of the dog house and even went another foot around the underside of the engine area. This did the trick.

Where would you get the heat insulation?

I ordered it online. You can check with NAPA.

I have a 2014 Southwind and decided to change the carpet and line the floor and dog house wth Sound and Heat Insulation at the same time.

I ordered the product through Amazon, an "Amazon Basic" product 12"x12" sticky pads, and placed 2 layers on the floor and 3 layers on the underside of the dog house, cost was under $100.

I checked the decibel levels before and after the installation and it reduced the db's by 10% and a significant reduction in heat transfer.

A relatively simple DIY project with very favourable results.
