We are at the FMCA how in Madison and can't get out slide in. (2015 Expedition) It is not the slide itself but rather the mechanism that tilts the bed. up. If the bed tilt mechanism doesn't move the bed out of the way the slide won't operate so as to not crush things. Slide itself is fine.
I have had nothing but trouble with this mechanism since day one. I have had the Fleetwood service team look at it (Sorry we have never seen one before and don't know anything about them), Fleetwood service line (sorry these are too new we don't know anything about them and we can't help you) etc. Most recently a fellow from the service office has been calling me (except when he said he would call and have a fix on Friday and they are now closed for the weekend). The Fleetwood service team here is too busy according to the Fleetwood office. None of them know a ything about the Lippert control unit, what it's lights mean, how to reset etc. Lippert is equally of no help. For a while the bed would not come down intermittently. I solved that when I discovered the limit switch was intermittent. No it won't go up most of the time and sometimes nothing. You cannot manually bring the bed up or down either. The mechanism motor seems to be working and I don't think it is the problem.
I think my best bet before I take it to the Fleetwood factory and set it on fire in the parking lot is to make up a jumper work around. There are 6 wires, Brown, Blue, Green, Brown, Black and Red. My intuition tell me to just jump 12 volts from the control units supply side (has voltage) to the motor and reverse the red and the black. However the other wires are there for a reason and I don't want to start supplying power till I have some sense of what I am doing.
