I have a 2010 Providence 40T. I have a continual problem with basement doors coming open while on the road. It seems I can't travel for more that a few days without a door flapping loose. It is not the same door and occurs if the door is locked or just latched. This has happened continually since the coach was new. I have had the latches locked at and adjusted the "strike plate" to make sure the latch is engaging it. No Luck. It seems as if the coach must be "flexing" with road bumps, wheel off the paving for a moment or something.

Anyone else having this issue and any suggestions to resolve it.

I have a 2007 Providence and have never had one come open on the road however, I have experienced one side not being latched a couple of times. I have since walked the rig before hitting the road and checking each door by leaning against each one with my shin at each corner just to be sure they are all latched. Surprisingly, I've had that positive click a few times indicating that it wasn't! Sounds like a pain to do but its a quick walk around and I'm sure it saved my bacon at least once.

Thanks, but that has been part of my routine since issue first started. Make sure all are locked and weight against the doors. Cant say I have heard a click or not but can't hear alot of things.

I have a 2012 SOUTHWIND and the Generator Door would come open. I bent the latch post to make sure there was sufficient contact and I tied a bungee cord to the door and to the frame. Has never come open since. Yea!
