Best GPS for our Fleetwood

We need a GPS for our Fleetwood and I'm looking at two Garmin 7" models. One is for Trucking with Bluetooth and software for truck stops, fueling stations, etc.  The other is a Garmin 7" that is set up for RV's with programming for Fuel, driving conditions, and other RV specific services, but no Bluetooth.  Both have all the lifetime road maps.  Has any one tried these or do they have another preference.  I think I need the largest screen for ease of viewing from the driver or passenger seats.
    Thanks,
    Mike

We have had a few over the years, our current model has been the most helpful, the Rand-McNally 7" screen, we mount it on the passenger side window, it works fine.

Our 2014 AC Revolution came w/the Rand-McNally GPS, been using it for a year now.  We like it very much.

Have not used the new garmins - had an older one for cars that we liked better than others.  Compare the features of all that you like & make the best choice for you.

Another thought is Street Atlas USA by DeLorme "if" you want to run on a Smartphone, Tablet or laptop. Nice feature is its voice activated. Ask for directions and it will pull up a route, Love it!

Keep your eyes on the road, not the GPS screen!

    Thanks for the info.

We decided on the Rand McNally 7" and used it on our first cross country trip and it worked quite well.

My new Discovery came with the Rand McNally built in. It says the maps are one year old and updates are available but apparently Rand McNally uses are connection for the "dock" to work. Anyone tried to update one of these?

Also it tries to send us down two lane winding roads when 4 lane interstates are not that far out of the way and definitely faster. I have the preferences on truck and fastest but still can't trust.

I'm not sure how to update the in dash unit.

Curious as to what in dash unit you have as I would rather have a indash instead of a handheld.

We have a hand held and it was updated by downloading the Rand program to our laptop then connecting the unit to the laptop.

If you haven't already done it, try contacting Rand and see if there are updates available and how to install them.

We have the Garmin designed for RV use and have been happy with its many features. But for quick,  easy, acccurate, and intuitive GPS function, nothing works better than Google Maps on Cathy's iPhone.

I have the Rand McNally Trip Maker RVND7710.  It is way too complicated to use.   I finally printed out the instructions and they are so heavy the coach lists to port.  As someone above mentioned, it sends me down two lane or gravel roads when an interstate is the obvious best route.  And once you take the better route it continues to try to get you back to its route.  I have kept it updated using the dock, but  that has not improved its operation.  I would not buy another one.

I have the Garmin RV 760 and am overall dissatisfied.  On six occasions it has sent me to the wrong location for a campground.  Once it sent me to the wrong side of Interstate 44 to a dead end where I almost had to unhook to turn around but found a construction yard which let me turn around.  Just yesterday it didn't know where an RV Park in Effingham, Ill is located guiding me to a house in a residential section.  It has tried to send to a destination more than 25 miles off course.  One of these days I'm going to try to speak to a Garmin technician to hear what they will say about its performance.
