Taillights

So I was reading my manual to find out what bulbs my taillights take due to having a turn signal bulb as well as a brake bulb that are out. It shows that it takes a GE 1157, 12-volt in the stop/turn/taillight. Everywhere I look it shows the GE 1157 has the round BAY15d base on it. When I took the tail light off to get to the bulbs I pulled two different bulbs 1- T3156(turn signal) and 1- 3357(brake), both of them have the wedge W2.5x16d style base. It is a 2002 Fleetwood Discovery 37T. Why would it be different then what the owners manual says it should be? I am wondering if this is why my turn signals are not working correctly and blowing fuses constantly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Having the wrong bulbs can do many wierd things to the electrical system. Call them up a e-trailer and see if they can help.

Or:  The previous owner may have changed one side and not the other. I would take all the bulbs out (label each where you took them from) See if you can find a replacement at an autoparts store. Autozone and advance auto have large supplies of bulbs.
