Furance not working

    When turning on the heat the blower comes on runs for a few then shuts off and does not come back on. Our propane is 1/2 tank. The furnace doesn't seem to be lighting.

    first check to make sure another propane appliance works.  I confess to having forgotten to turn on my propane tank and having the same results.  Also check if your rv has GasStop installed.  Its an aftermarket inline add on that activates if it detects any minor leaks in your propane line, itt has its own reset button.

    if that’s not it, have one of stand next to the outside vent while someone turns the furnace on and listen for the spark sounds as it try’s to ignite the burner.  You have to have your 12 volt system switched (main and aux) on to light the burner.

    Since you are here at the 2025 Friends First Rally, if all else fails, stop by the REV site and talk to one of Rick Hortner’s rally repair crew

    I have recently run into the same issue with my 2014 Southwind for the third time on the Attwood / Dometic furnace.

    I would suggest you have either a faulty "SAIL SWITCH", or "HIGH LIMIT SWITCH".

    The Sail is a $13 part, however, the entire furnace may need to be removed to replace the part.

    If at all possible, call a mobile tech rather than the large, national retailer.

    I didn't and 3 hours later the furnace was on the floor, they did not have the part and left me high and dry, furnace on the floor! Upon leaving I discovered they broke my front windshield and after 7 days and their corporate spokesperson stated they were not liable, even though it "Did" happen while in their possession!!!!!

    Needless to say, Marcus and his fleet of RV stores will not see another dollar from me.
