Chassis and House battery charging

I am a new owner of a 2021 Fleetwood Discovery LXE 40M. I have owned travel trailers, 5ft wheels and just traded in a gas motorhome for the Fleetwood. I have general experience but each RV and manufacturer have different ways of doing things, so I'm going to ask for help in understanding how my new/used coach operates.

The following questions are prompted because of putting the coach in "storage" for a few weeks. I do not have access to shore power at the storage facility. I'm pretty sure the house and chassis batteries are original. I disconnected the inverter with the cutoff switch located at the inverter, and also engaged the disconnects for the house and chassis batteries. When I tried to start the coach after 2 weeks, the engine would not even turn over. Used the Aux/boost switch to pull power from house batteries with same results. Ran generator for 30 minutes with same results. Finally got it started and suspect the issue was a dead FOB battery. (Push button start).  Chassis battery voltage still showed low so just to be on the safe side I plan to replace the chassis batteries. Now to my questions. Thanks for hanging in there!

Will being connected to shore power charge both the house and chassis batteries? If so, does this hold true even with the inverter disconnect engaged and the house and chassis disconnects engaged? (All 3 disconnected)

    Same question for solar charging.

    Same question for generator charging.

    Thanks,

    Doug

While plugged into shore power, your inverter/charger will first charge the chassis batteries, and once they are charged it will then charge the house batteries (in most cases). On our 2017 when the chassis batteries failed, the house batteries never were getting charged because the inverter never recognized the full charge to the chassis and therefore never charged the house batteries.
