is it necessary to use the vacuum for every flush, even if its just all liquid?

    TIA

The vacuum flush systems are installed because the path to the black tank is not directly under the toilet. Therefore when you flush the pump runs to move the contents, solid or liquid, to the black tank.

Turning off your vacu-flush for any reason is like walking a block to pick up a penny you saw in the road.
Thrifty, but unnecessary.   Although this is an opportunity to plug using Happy Camper the right way.. dissolve  in a gallon of hot water, and pour equal parts into each toilet and flush.
