    Good morning,

I see the 7.3L Ford Godzilla engine is rated for 350hp and 468lb-ft of torque in my 2023 Boiunder.  When this engine is mounted in a pickup, it’s rated at 430hp and 475lb-ft.

Why did they de-tune our coaches?

Is there a chip or tuner that can recover the power and torque?

    Have a great Monday!

    Deacon

Typically in an RV you wouldn't care about HP, it is torque that turns the wheels, not HP.  The difference between 468ft-lbs and 475ft-lbs is a rounding error.  They may have 'de-tuned' the engine for RV usage as the typical duty cycle for a truck/car is probably in the 20% range, RV 30-40%, Semi's would be 60-80%, marine likely 80-90%+.  Those are only my guesstimates, don't hold me to them.
