Floor Heat

About a week ago a section of our floor was very hot. I turned the heat down and everything seemed fine. A few days later the floor was cold even though the heat setting was at 5. Regardless of what I have the heat set at the floor remains cold.  Although floor heating is not critical it's a nice feature. 1) What would cause a small section to get hot when the rest does not? Is there a simple solution to fix this? 3)Is there a way to reset the system? 4) Is there a way we can troubleshoot this ourselves? It is my understanding the floor heat system is a pad laid between the sub floor and the tile. It is also my understanding it is a huge task to repair. Any suggestions or comments of experience would be helpful.

It sounds like the floor section may have gone bad. If it were me, I would check with youtube videos to see if anyone has a fix. Last resort would be to check with a good RV Technician.
