2nd furnace in 2003 Providence?

We've now owned our lovely 2003 Fleetwood Providence 39P for four years and have been VERY satisfied with it.  There is one thing, however, that we haven't been able to figure out??

The main furnace seems to run to the floor ducts under the sofa, etc. in the front/living area of the coach, but there are two wall heat vents located in the bathroom and in the bedroom area.  The front furnace does NOT supply warm air to those two ducts.  We've discovered a 2nd gas furnace near the bathroom - and in checking it over from the outside of the coach, the "on/off switch" is in the on position, etc.  I'm assuming that our thermostat should  operate this 2nd furnace when in "zone 2", gas heat.....but zone 2 appears to be non-functional when switched to heat.

Hmmmmm.......we're so confused???  And advice out there?  Thank you!

Are you sure that the 2nd furnace is not the one for the hot water tank?  I am not aware of a 2nd furnace for heating of the coach.

I must apologize for my previous post.  There IS a 2nd furnace, for Zone 2, located on the driver's side.  I checked it out today, and it does work.  Have you tried turning the Zone 1 heat it on while the Zone 1 furnace is ON?  At this time I do not know if the Zone 1 furnace has to be on first, but I will be checking it out soon.  Again, sorry for the misinformation, and I will try to assist if I can.

I have tried the Zone 2 heat in the past, but I have always had the Zone 1 furnace ON.  So, when I tried the Zone 2 furnace, I could not hear it due to the sound from the Zone 1 furnace.  This time, I happened to go outside to turn on the fill valve, and I heard it.  Needless to say, the first thing that I though about was the reply I gave to your post.  I assumed there was no furnace for Zone 2.  You know what you get when you "assume"?

I have a 2008 Pace Arrow with two furnaces. Not sure if the same as a Providence, but probable similar. Ours requires us to switch the main controller to Zone 2 and the A/C - Heat switch in the Heat position. Then scroll through the Mode function until you reach Gas On. You also have to adjust the temperature setting for that zone to what you desire. Once all that is done it should come on. If it still does not work you probably need some service on that furnace. After not being used for a long time it is possible you have an obstruction in the gas line. Good luck.

We have a 2002 Revolution with the dual heaters. They are both controlled from the thermostat. I was having problems with the heaters for the first couple of years trying to get them to work, but found out the problems was due to the fluorescent lights in the coach. I replaced all of the fluorescent bulbs with LEDs and the heaters started working like they are suppose too.
