Has anyone had problems with their fridge? We traveled from Florida to South Carolina and the fridge was on the inverter over a 24+ hour period. When we arrived and plugged in we noticed that the fridge was getting warmer. I went through the trouble shooting steps and resets following a number of Youtube videos but no change.  The display works and I've determined the fan is running but no refrigeration at all. The Samsung repair tech appointment is days away so wondering if anyone has had this happen and knows of a simple solution. We now have a small bar fridge outside but clearly that is not an ideal situation!! Thanks.

Forgot to state that we completely defrosted the fridge for 18 hours but that didn't work either.

I don’t have info that is very helpful for you but thought I’d pass it on just in case it may provide a clue. I don’t see any info regarding the age or model of your fridge.  We have a 2021 Southwind 35k with a Samsung refrigerator.  Sorry, don’t know the model # of the fridge, but it is no longer available and REV is now using a slightly different one.  Our refrigerator died last fall, with similar pattern of symptoms.  The issue was likely a dead compressor but it was “unrepairable” because the refrigerant used is highly explosive and most appliance repair people refuse to work on it.  We had to have it replaced.  Hopefully you have better luck than we did.

Ours is a 2020 and an RF18. It seems to be the standard model that REV uses. I suspect the issue is the same as you experienced. We are back to Canada in a couple of weeks so will deal with it then. What unit did you get as a replacement?

The new model number is RF18A5101SR

Very similar to prior model but no door handles on front of fridge

Ok thanks. I'll post an update once I get a tech to look at it.

Here is an update to our issue. We had a Samsung tech come out and he ordered an Inverter board. The board arrived, was in the proper box but the inverter was the wrong part. He ordered another inverter board from Samsung and this one was correct but did not fix the problem. He also ordered and installed the main board and when he did a part fell off the board that had not been soldered at the factory. So I ask him what to do next and he said replace the fridge and recommended a Frigidaire or GE. All of this took 2 months due to shipping time from Samsung. I called Samsung support in both the US and Canada. They were zero help saying it is out of warrantee. I advised them that there are hundreds of reviews online indicating the exact same problem as ours, to which they responded that they insist on quality from their products. This fridge is 3 years old so what a joke!!! So new fridge to be ordered. The sad thing is that Fleetwood has designed the space to fit a Samsung exactly. Others will fit but not as well. If anyone from REV reads these posts I would highly recommend finding another provider of Refridgerators as Samsung are terrible. Thanks!

Just curious….did you have to have the front windshield removed to make the exchange?
