I had my AC purged and put under a vacuum. I have a 2018 Pace Arrow 38F DP . I called Fleetwood and they said my dash AC required 2.75 lbs of Freon. . After charging the the system the gauges showed 21 lbs on the low side and 150 on the high side. The temp outside is 85 degrees . When I look up what the Pressure reading should be for 85 degrees it shows 45-55 psi on the low side and 225 -250 on the high side. . I would like to add more Freon but am hesitant because I put the recommended amount in already. The cold air comes out of the dash at 63 degrees .

Should I put in the recommended amount of freon according to R123a system pressure chart.

I'm no expert, but check out the A/C You Tube videos about recharging vehicle A/C systems. Some are very good and one thing that sticks in my mind (I have a similar issue) is that the amount of the charge is very important. You can overcharge or undercharge. By the way, I still have to troubleshoot our RV to try to figure out our problem. The last owner had someone check the seals and a few other things and couldn't figure out what was wrong. We inherited the problem so some day we'll get to it, hopefully!

I had this same issue when I replaced the receiver drier and expansion valve on my 2001 36S. Use the pressure/temp charts. I had to add about 3.5 lbs before my A/C cooled properly, abou 48 degrees.

Thanks for the reply. I have a trip to the NC Outer Banks coming up . I will see if the AC works any better .
