Jeff, this is a fairly common issue. There have been many posts of folks with the problem. Most folks ensure they have another way into the coach, ie: unlocked window. This topic is frequently discussed at the FMA and Discovery rally open discussion sessions. My lock on our 08 Discovery had been repaired several times and I finally replaced it because I was afraid the metal was too fatigued to be reliable.
