Greetings, 2006 Discovery 39L & we want to replace old carpet with LVP and wondering if anyone has experience removing old carpet and linoleum.  Any issues with height for slides to go in and out?? TIA

Have 2014 Bounder 36e, in 2019 had carpet, vinyl removed and replaced w Karastan LVP, and removed sofa bed, replaced w Lambright loungers and console, and under the loungers and dinette which were both on the slide, had Infinity Vinyl carpet installed. Classic Coach Works in Ormond Beach did the redo, fabulous workmanship!  Met them at FMCA rally, Perry Ga..

Earlier this year I removed all carpet from the floor and installed LVP in my 2001 Bounder 36S.  The only place I installed new carpet was on the slideout and most of it isn’t visible.  My slideout has enough clearance to the floor but I encourage you to purchase the thinnest LVP that suits your tastes.  We purchased Triumph Beachcomber LVP that is 5.0 mm thick.  There are many other manufacturers with many different thicknesses and the differences in thicknesses are huge.  Needless to say, the thicker the flooring the more likely there will be interference.  I saved a lot of money doing this project myself but I won’t kid you….it was a challenging job.  Removing the old carpet and linoleum with a gazillion staples was the worst part.  Laying the LVP wasn’t bad except that so many pieces that must be cut and there seemed like miles of quarter molding.  Good luck!
