1: go to your wet bay. find the sprayer nozzle for hand washing and squeeze the trigger. If water comes out (more than a dribble) turn the faucet handles until there is no more water when you squeeze the trigger on the sprayer. Then check the hot water in the bathroom closest to the water heater.
2: If you still don't get hot water, check inside the cabinet or behind a drawer near the water heater and make sure that someone didn't set the bypass for your water heater when they winterized the unit.
Just hoping your heater had water in it before you powered it on. If not you may have to purchase a new heating element. this is an easy check turn OFF the heater and let it's contents cool then open the pressure release valve. If water flows, you didn't burn out any elements.
