We have a 2002 SouthWind 35R and had the intermittent problem on the front slide after about 2 years. At the 1st National Rally in Wyoming the Fleetwood technician could not find the problem of course because it was working all the time. He left us with a new switch so when it did happen we could exchange it to see if it corrected the problem.
When it finally did repeat I removed the old switch, checked the switch & wiring and found all to be OK but replaced it just because I had the new one and it was the new style with a key switch and IN & OUT rocker switch instead of the two position key switch.
Some time later when the slide refused to engage, I started searching for connector blocks and found two mounted on the bottom of the electrical cabinet behind the circuit breaker panel in the bedroom. I discovered this by pushing down on the connected wiring harnesses and one came loose in my hand. I held the harness side in position while my wife pressed the slide switch. It worked so I did a temp repair to hold the pieces in place and submitted a work request to have the blocks replaced at the Oklahoma National Rally. Fleetwood cost for connectors and all is well!!
Hope this helps.
