A piece of velcro at two points.  one midway down, and the other at the bottom of the window frame.  Fuzzy part on the window frame, hook part on back of the base of the day-shade.      This way you can have two positions to block the sun and no more flapping.   Quite simple really and less than $2 for the velcro strips or pads.
