Luggage Compartment hinges on drivers side slideout

Had the Rivets let go on one half of a luggage compartment door today, was able to secure the door for travel for the 40 min ride home. The hinges appear to be riveted to an Aluminum Frame rail then riveted to the coach. Does anyone know how complicated it is to replace the busted rivets.                                                Thanks in advance, Don

Probably one of the simpler repairs you can make on a motorhome. Generally when the rivet breaks it either falls out of the hole, or you can push it out. In some cases you might have to drill the old parts out, but that is not the norm. A trip to Harbor Freight will get you an inexpensive pop-rivet tool ($11.00) with a sampling of rivets, to allow you to complete the project.

Thank you Bill & Laura for the response , It look like I'll have to take the door off and reattach the hinges

to the hinge rail. Then I think I can re rivet  the door back to the hinges. At least that's my hope !

Update, Turns out it was not the rivets that let go , it was the aluminum frame for the door that broke.

I removed the door and riveted a re enforcing piece over the corner . I think I got extremely lucky

getting it squared back up, and reinstalled.
