Looking to get a new vehicle to tow behind our 38k Discovery.  Let me know your thoughts on a flat tow versus other options.

We've tried several options.  Buy a Jeep Wrangler and flat tow.  No question in my mind.

We have a 2008 Bounder and tow a 2012 Jeep Liberty using the RVi Flat Tow Brake System. Had the main wiring done under the hood of the Jeep, brackets mounted under front bumper. Hook up to the coach is easy, as is installing the unit in the car on the brake pedal. Never had any problems. We always do a 'light check' (brake and blinker) before leaving the driveway. Just turn on coach flashers and everything should be blinking.

While I have nothing against Jeep products.  There is a whole world of Toads available for flat towing.

    Full list of Towable Vehicles

Flat towing gives you a wider selection of campsites and less to keep up with as far as what to do with the trailer when not in use.

we pull a 2013 fully loaded Lincoln MKX with an Air Force 1 tow package.

We flat tow a Fiat 500 with a manual transmission.  It weighs 2,400 pounds, doesn't need brakes and is very easy to park.  While it looks small, you can easily get 6 footers in the front seats.  It's no luxury vehicle but it gets us where we need to go!

We have a 2016 Bounder 35k. Our toad is a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I wouldn’t know it was there when driving if the rear cam didn’t remind me

We tow a FORD edge SEL 2018 behind our RV 4 down, towed Honda CR-V's till they discontinued after 2014.  Love our Edge and easy set-up towing.
