I have a 2007 32K with 25,000 miles on the Ford F53 chassis with the V10. At about 60 - 63 MPH I can hear a whine coming from the rear end , differential area. It usually goes away if I take my foot off the excelerator but does come back. I have read that pinion gears etc may be the problem....any ideas? Would this be a Ford warranty issue ? I am not the original owner as I bought it with 5K miles on the coach.

    Thx

    Randy

I have the same issue on my 2010 Bounder. I was told by the dealer and Ford that this is a result of the motor home construction above the axle. There is a hum coming from the rear axle and the noise is amplified by the motor home BOX above it. I could not get the dealer or Ford to look at the lash setting of the rear axle gears. I will be interested in what you find out.

    John and Sue

Did the Ford dealer admit there is an issue with the whine noise, did he make a big deal of it or just say without question they will replace it or did you have to battle to get it replaced?

Did he say what exactly was making the noise ?
