Replacing a Dometic Vacuflush toilet with a conventional one

I've read numerous posts about Vacuflush problems on this site.  When we bought our 2016 Southwood 34A  over a year ago, I just knew the complicated system would fail, and it now has.  I want to replace it with a conventional pedal flush toilet.  I understand in some models it may be problematic due to the location of the black water tank.  I  just returned today from a trip and haven't torn the system apart yet, so I'm not sure exactly how mine is plumbed.  I'm hoping I can gravity-feed the black water tank from a conventional toilet.  Has anyone out there done this?

Not sure of the exact situation in your coach, but typically the reason for vacuflus or macerator systems is that it is not a direct drop into the black tank. I know on my coach the plumbing is not such that I could change out to the old pedal drop system.

Have Fleetwood  2014 Bounder w vacuflush in back toliet in bedroom bath, half bath mid section over black tank. Never had a problem w vacuum flush. Noisy, but other than that, works well. Lots of water is the secret..
