Have a 2006 Bounder 38S which we just bought used. There is a severe intermittent lack of water pressure. It will be fine for a while, then suddenly drop to almost nothing. Now the weird part, it happens when we are using our internal tank or are using city water. We've checked water level, replaced the water pump no difference. The coach has been back to the dealer 5 times. Each time it works fine (ie. customer's complaint cannot be duplicated.) Any ideas?

Hi David

Does it happen at all faucets, sink1, sink2, shower, tub, hot water, cold water, etc.? How often does it happen? Under what circumstances? Trying to isolate the system involved.

For example, I've noticed that my water pressure is very low while I'm filling the fresh water tank from the city water connection (vs. the hose in the fill hole). Maybe there is some sort of ball-valve or flapper-valve that is sticking.

Actually it's at all the faucets and the shower (inside and out.) Unfortunately it happens intermittently--like never at the RV dealer's. We're camping this weekend, and so far we haven't had a problem.

I have a 2010 discovery 40X and have the same problem only mine is constant. No water pressure ( very Low) city water on coach pump. Can not determine why, tried several things. Change fillter, changed restrictor ( water ) still very low water presure. Any help from anyone would be appreciated.

Have you checked to see if the back pressure valve is stuck? It is located in the city water hose inlet connection. If it is stuck, it will reduce the flow of water to the coach. press it in with a soft object like a pencil eraser. It should push in fairly easily. if not it might be clogged, or bad.

Jim and Lynda, Would the back pressure valve have any effect using internal tanks? Since I've had the problem on both, I'm just curious. And for the record, this past weekend I had the issue on city water, so I simply removed the in-line water filter and the pressure came back. If that was the problem, I have to figure out why the dealer couldn't find it after 5 tries.

The back pressure valve would only effect the city water, however I think the filter would effect both. Who knows why the dealer didn't discover the filter. Hope you have it solved.
