Dish does have a program for RV's. You pay by the month when you need it. You call to activate it on a monthly basis. For the program 120 plus, it is $49.99 a month. Contact Dish for details. I will be going this route on my motor home.

We bring our DVR from home when we are traveling and set up the DISH remotely when we are going to be at a location for a while.  It takes too long to find the two satelites, perform check switch, etc. for just one night.  Have thought about an auto location dish but $$$.
