We'll be in the Richmond area in early April for a family vist, and are staying at Pocahontas SP.  We're looking for nice campgrounds as we head south back to Florida.  We've spent time in the Outer Banks and western NC, so we're sort of focusing on the I95 corridor.  We prefer state and federal parks, but reasonably priced private parks would work.  Any suggestions.

Pocahontas SP is a great choice.  We have stayed there several times.  Sites we were in offered water and electric with a dump station available. There are many campgrounds along your route.  I suggest using allstays.com to look for others. Even though it is called allstays it does not show all campgrounds so there may be other sites that work also.  We have traveled the I-95 corridor many times.  Factors to consider are how long of a travel day do you want, how far off 95 are you willing to go, etc.  Also, if you are a member of the Elks look at their website for locations and facilities.  Be safe out there!  Bob

Thanks a lot.  We've been through those areas too, but now have the time to slow down and enjoy!  We've become partial to rvparky but will check out allstays.
