Water Diverter that connects to water heater bypass valve

I have a 2015 Fleetwood Expedition.  The water diverter (?) that connects to the water heater bypass valve broke.  I thought that this part simply prevented water from going into the water heater for winterizing purposes.  Thinking that, I thought I could simply use a 3 way valve (with no bypass involved) until I could replace it.  However, after connecting the 3 lines involved, I do not get any hot water.  I’m guessing that diverter does more than just shut off water going to the hot water heater.  I’m on a big western trip and desperately need a solution as my wife is not happy when there is no hot water. Can anybody tell me what I need to do to make this work since I can’t locate the Swan part that Fleetwood used.  Is there anyway to attach the 3 lines and still get hot water.  Hopefully, what I’m trying to say makes since.  Any suggestions would be appreciated. The part in the attached picture is what broke and I can't find replacement.  REV does not have it.
