We found a small mattress manufacturer in Starke, Florida that made us a custom, one-off, pillowtop, individually pocketed coiled spring queen short mattress for $500. It was THE most comfortable mattress ever. If you're not close to Starke, you may be able to find a mattress manufacturer in your area that is willing to make whatever you need.
